Took me two hours to build my first 35mm camera kit. You can read more about my experience putting this camera together here.
This is the Fotodiox Twin Lens Reflex (TLR) camera kit, which actually makes a pretty good quality camera. I was quite impressed with how this camera felt and operated, once I had put it together. The top lens produced the image in the view finder (which you see by opening up the hood on the top). The bottom lens is for the shutter, which actually takes the photograph. You adjust the focus using the top lens, and the gear mechanism then adjusts the shutter's lens accordingly. Quite ingenious, if you ask me. It was very interesting to see how all of these little bits and pieces fit and work together in order to take a picture. Lots of fun!
Best of all, I really like how this camera takes pictures. Be sure to check out my Fotodiox photo album to see the results for yourself.
